Autumn Six-Day New Mexico Retreat
Rancho Jacona, Near Santa Fe, NM
We’ll gather at Rancho Jacona, a remarkable, expansive, 35-acre property dotted with casitas about 20 minutes outside of Santa Fe.
The first house at Rancho Jacona was built in the early 1700s! And the land was lived on for a long time before that. Some of the early dwellings are still standing and fully inhabitable. There are casitas with multiple bedrooms as well as studio cabins. Each has its own kitchen and bathroom. Our workshops and meals that will be prepared by a local chef will be held in one of the larger houses.
"Mornings begin with the sound of roosters crowing in the distance... Evenings are filled with the sound of breezes creating a rustle through the cottonwood trees, as well as a symphony of crickets." I spent several days there, and found Rancho Jacona to be a restorative and calming place which is why I'm excited to lead this retreat there.
On site you'll find a swimming pool, an assortment of animals, from peacocks to pygmy goats. Nearby is the Pojoaque River with its inviting sandy bed.
In addition to days of unfettered writing and inspiration in this beautiful place, we'll visit at least one of artist Georgia O'Keeffe's homes as well as her museum in Santa Fe.
Dates are not yet confirmed, but will be 5 nights in late September. If you'd like more info, please email me at patrice@patricevecchione.com.

Each workshop and retreat offers participants time to reflect and engage with their imagination, to find words for what they thought was unsayable, to write freely, with curiosity and confidence.
